What. A. Weekend. Whew!
This weekend was spent with some of my favorite people! Our friend Al is getting married in June and had her shower and bachelorette party this weekend! Our good friend hudge made the drive up from kc to join us. 5 of us rode up from dsm and really enjoyed catching up on the 3 hour drive. The shower and party were really fun and it was great to see Al so happy and excited. We had lots of laughs reminiscing about the college days :) It was a fun night out that ended with lots of pizza and a sleepover with 15 girls :) Good times and great hosts. We are all really excited for the wedding too :)
In other news, we had our team in training kick-off meeting! We met our coach and he seems like a great guy who has been volunteering his time for years. He gave us our running schedule and told us about the Saturday runs. Every Saturday we have a 6am run with our team. We start with a 3 mile run the first Saturday, and by October we are up to 10-12 miles! It's going to be really tough to stay disciplined, but the team bonding and results will be motivation enough to get me out of bed. :) I am so excited to start training and to get to know my teammates!
